Tancka was born from an urge to slow down, to design and make a range of leather goods that would stand the test of time and grow with me. All items are designed and handmade by myself, Hersh, from my workshop in Gurugram, India.

I discovered the art of leather crafting whilst living in covid times. I'm a firm believer in creation of hands and that hands can make your future. I am self-taught and began learning the leather making process by hand. I use hand tools to craft goods, and each piece is cut and designed from scratch. I design with the principle of 'items that I will use personally' in mind and ‘test drive’ each new design before putting on sale.
